salut.pm doesn't mess around when it comes to privacy. The modern world's email communications are dystopianly controlled by a few companies: Yahoo!, Google, Microsoft, Apple. Salut.PM hates that.
Salut - it's an easy word, french for hi. We offer a simple webmail client (open-source, of course) or customers can use their own client since we allow full SMTP/POP3/IMAP access. Our customers enjoy their own simple email address, like john@salut.pm.
No one likes spam, that's why salut.pm deploys world-class, open-source software to redirect spam to your junk folder.
.pm is the ccTLD (country-code top-level-domain) for Saint Pierre and Miquelon, a French territory in North America, near Canada; but to us, it means private message.
All salut.pm users automatically get PGP keys so they can sign off and encrypt emails they sent out.
Our super-fast, German-based, Ubuntu server practically never goes down! When maintenance is absolutely necessary, we email you personally weeks or months in advance and wait for your response!
Our secure and fast webmail is available at mail.salut.pm. It uses Rainloop, an open-source webapp, which is based on Roundcube - another open-source webapp!
